The Chicago Tour for Peace with the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue begins Saturday, August 27 at St. John Cantius Church, 825 N. Carpenter Street, commencing with a 1000-person candlelight procession at 7:45PM. The procession will travel to Eckhart Park (1330 W. Chicago Ave) along Chicago Avenue (1/2 mile). After a brief prayer at the park it will return to the church. 

Fr. Richard Simon of Relevant Radio will speak at 7PM before the procession. Following the procession, there will be Compline prayer and a silent vigil with Our Lady until Midnight. The statue remains at the church through the Sunday morning Masses, August 28, and will then depart for the St. Jude Chapel at the Women’s Center, 5116 North Cicero Avenue.

St. Jude Chapel will host private veneration and prayers from 5 – 7PM, Sunday evening, then continue with an evening program to include a Chaplet of Mercy, Rosary and procession around the block, followed by all-night Eucharist Adoration.

From Monday, August 29 – Wednesday, August 31, the statue travels to Our Lady of Fatima Chapel (3051 N. Christina, Chicago), St. Andrews Catholic Church (Calumet City), St. Peter’s Catholic Church (Volo), and Church of the Holy Spirit (Schaumburg). The final day of the Chicago tour will be Thursday, September 1, at Holy Name Cathedral in downtown Chicago.
