By Barb Ernster –

The Fatima Centennial U.S. Tour for Peace came to an end on Dec. 18, 2017, after a 22-month journey that brought the International Pilgrim Virgin Statue to all 50 states.  The tour launched from the National Blue Army Shrine in New Jersey on March 20, 2016—the start of the Fatima centennial honoring the Angel of Peace apparitions—and ended at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marshall, TX, following the completion of the Fatima jubilee. In all, the statue visited 141 U.S. Catholic dioceses and made over 500 stops at parishes, schools, convents and shrines on its day-to-day journey in the RV motorhome.

Famous Fatima statue of Virgin Mary lands in Anchorage

The world-famous international Pilgrim Virgin Statue is just landed in Anchorage for a July 26-30 stop as part of a two-year U.S. tour for peace. The goal of this tour is to bring the graces of Fatima to the American people and help a new generation learn, live and spread the message of Fatima — heaven’s “peace plan” — one that is intimately linked with the message of Divine Mercy. This statue was blessed by the Bishop of Liera, Fatima, to serve as the Pilgrim Virgin who would carry the blessings of Fatima throughout the world. Events with the statue and its custodian, Patrick Sabat, will be held at various churches across … Continue Reading

Aloha from Hawaii

Journeying with the Blessed Mother

Bishop Larry Silva sent us a short reflection to ponder as we venerate the Pilgrim Virgin of Fatima in Hawaii:
The Virgin Mary made three long journeys when she was carrying Jesus in her womb:  from Nazareth to the hill country of Judah to visit her relative Elizabeth, and the journey back to Nazareth; and the journey from Nazareth to Bethlehem, where Jesus was born.  Her image continues to make journeys to the four corners of the earth in the Pilgrim Virgin of Fatima.  We are blessed to have this image of our beloved mother at so many locations here in Hawaii.  May our gatherings, our prayers,

I must tell you I was raised Protestant and I was very outspoken regarding the “Praying to the Blessed Mother”…or what I had perceived it to be.

My husband is a cradle Catholic and had prayed for my conversion for years. Of course I was a very hard nut to crack yet he never gave up on me.

We were in a small chapel in River View, where I had gone just to be with my husband, and I was so immediately Continue Reading
